The Charlotte Business Journal recently reported that Woodfield Investments has started construction on a 243-unit mid-rise apartment building near the Charlotte Knights’ ballpark.  The completed project will feature 5 stories of residential units over a 2 level parking garage.  The expected completion date is around the summer of 2016.  Woodfield Investments is also the developer of the Encore, which is a 280 unit mid-rise apartment building located at  6205 Morrison Blvd. in the Southpark neighborhood.  

This project is the third apartment project near the new ballpark:  Element Uptown is a 352-unit project that is expected to start delivering units in August 2014, and construction started earlier this year on The Mint, which is expected to deliver another 177 units to Charlotte’s third ward.
